Henni-Karoliina Ropponen joined GARDP as a Scientific Officer in May 2021.
Henni has experience in anti-infective research both from academia and industry. In 2018, she graduated as Master of Chemistry in Drug Discovery from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. During her studies, she successfully completed the Roche Internship in Medicinal Chemistry in Basel, Switzerland. Henni further pursued her interest in anti-infective research during her PhD studies at Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland (HIPS), Saarbrücken, Germany. Her research was awarded the Kekulé Mobility Fellowship by the German Chemical Industry Association.
Alongside her PhD, Henni worked as a scientific collaborator at the School Laboratory EXPERIO Roche encouraging younger generations for STEM subjects.
