Susan joined GARDP in January 2018 as Senior Communication Manager.

Her roles included consolidating GSK as leaders in respiratory medicine in the UK, and project managing WHO’s Alliance for the Global Elimination of Trachoma 2020 progress report on behalf of the International Coalition for Trachoma Control. She also supported a restructure and culture change programme at the National Health Service Blood and Transplant.

Before freelancing, Susan’s worked in the public sector initially supporting communications for the Chief Health Professions Officer for England at the Department of Health. This was followed by setting up the UK medicines regulator’s (MHRA) patient and public programme as a way of bringing patients and public into the Agency’s policy making framework. She began her career at Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) where she helped set up Alzheimer associations in countries with no support for people with dementia and their families.
