Jennifer Katz, Director of External Affairs, GARDP
Jennifer Katz joined GARDP in July 2017 and currently serves as the Director of External Affairs with responsibility for key stakeholder engagement including securing public and private support and leading the organisation’s communications strategy.
Previously, Jennifer worked with the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) holding several positions including Senior Advisor for Policy & Development and Interim Regional Executive Director for DNDi North America, as well as Head of Fundraising for DNDi, managing DNDi‘s overall fundraising strategy.
Prior to working with DNDi, Jennifer was responsible for fundraising at the Association for the Prevention of Torture in Geneva, Switzerland. From 1998 until 2004, she held various positions with the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), working on issues related to access to health insurance and services for low-income and special populations in Massachusetts, as well as managing the finance and operations of the Center for Health Policy & Research at UMMS. Jennifer has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, resource mobilisation, policy advocacy, and project management in public health.
She earned a Master of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a dual undergraduate degree in Public Health and Psychology from the University of Rochester.
